Instead of polishing a bunch of engine parts which would fade away sooner or later I want to chrome them instead. The question is what can be safely chromed and what should I polish. So here is the list of parts.
Turbo Cartridge
Intake Manifold
Upper Radiator Pipe
Cam Covers
Intake Pipe
Intercooler Piping
Catch Cans
Vacuum Manifold
Fuel Rail

Don't bother with chroming. Do a ceramic coat instead. Looks nearly as good as chrome, and will prevent heatsoak to boot. Here's a pic of some ceramic coated pulleys and brackets to give you an idea..

I always thought that ceramic coating has this matte finish to it. At least every job I have seen has a little wavy surface and not enough reflection. Where did you do yours?
My question still stands though. Can I chrome/coat turbo cartridge and intake manifold?

Yes, you can. It's called vacuum metalizing...

Technically you can also plate plastics using electrodeless (or electroless) plating processing. Vacuum deposition is the typical method to deposit a seed layer and then you plate after the initial layer is down.
