What should I know about '94 Supra?

5810 Views 50 Replies 18 Participants Last post by  Mary-Kate Olsen
Hello People,
I have been looking into getting a supra for a little while. The only supra I have been able to find for sale is about a four hour drive away. I'm thinking about going for a test drive, but I need information first. I think you all probaly know a great deal about the supra so I am asking for your help.

The car is a 1994 TT manual, and has about 64k miles on it.

(1) Now I know this makes it a MKIV supra so there were not any major changes before they discontinued the car. But did Toyoda make any minor improvments to the car in '95-'98 that would make buying a '94 not worth it?
(2) What are some common problem areas that I should checkout with this car?
(3) Is there anything else you guys think I should know before making a day trip to check out this supra?

97-98 models had a minor facelift/update. different front bumpers, slightly updated interior, more sound deadening shit. 96 TT's were auto only. 93.5's have been known to have some MINOR electrical problems. 94-95's are all good, thats what I will be getting.

BTW, you arent mary-kate, are you???? I am 15 :D
Eck...That sig is just weird...I remember watching them on Full House when they couldn't even walk/talk...

I'm pretty sure there weren't any changes between the 94 and 95-98, although I'm not 100% positive. I don't really know alot about the common problems and such, good luck.
I bet you only responded just so you could ask that. Anyway, I hope this person really is mary-kate and not some sick ass pedophile.

lol no...at first i saw 94 supra....which is the year i want...then when i clicked on i saw the mary-kate thing :)

but i couldnt really see one of the olsen twins driving in a TT supra!!! but if this is actually her....wow.
That's just creepy.....Especialy if it is one of thoose crazy full house twins. ..........shudder.......
if this is really her and she gets a supra then i dont want one..
fuck ill get a metro then
Maybee she'll make another AMAZING movie about it. Or talk about the details of her new car in her magazine. I hope SUPRAFORUMS is mentioned so all the 10 year old girls will want supras just like Mary-kate and Ashley, god knows thats why I'm into them!
Well not to worry people I wont be getting that Supra, and ruining your we are tough guys, and can't own the same car as a girl image. It seams that the car has already sold. If only I had seen it last week...

Well I have another question. How hard is it to convert a supra with an autotrany to a manual transmission? I have seen many more autos for sale then manuals. but I deffantly want the later.

Please answer my question this time, instead of just talking about me.

convert auto to manual? uh oh, i think i see another salvaged supra for sale.:hammer:

It's more trouble than it's worth to convert an auto to a 6spd.

There, now that I've addressed your question, please send me a pic of yourself holding a sign saying "I love you too, Dev". Otherwise I will never believe you are really Mary-Kate. (I already have my doubts as you used the word "tranny" and Mary-Kate would never know that word. Mary-Kate is no gearhead!)

i think they turned 16 this summer, but i could be wrong :dunno:.

actually, if this is actually mary kate, that would be so cool. It is like so cool when girls get into fast cars like MKIV's, but realy mary-kate, your rich enough to afford a much more desireable 97-98 model!!!

also, a girl at your age would much prefer a manual in the long haul if it would be your every day driver. they are just as fast if not faster than 6 speeds, and much easier to find. I prefer the manual because i live in the open where nothing really slows me down, and that i have only driven 2 cars ever that were automatics.
oh yeah- and to answer your question, it is next to impossible to convert the supra from auto to 6spd. Look at www.autotrader.com, many 6 speed's in cali are advertised there.

and is ashley into cars :)
Not true

While it's not exactly easy to convert from auto to 6 speed, it is NOT next to impossible. It can be and has been done numerous times by a variety of people. The fact is all you need is parts. It's not hard to do.

Lawn Boy, please don't answer questions you don't understand.
