ok so i need to replace my cat on my baby yet it has a 2.5 in exhaust from the cat back
and its welded yet on the header side its bolted on with a flange. (thats the way it ws when i bought it) bow which cat size for replacement am i looking for, a 2.25 which i believe is stock size or am i looking for the 2.5. here are the magnaflow ones im looking into buying part # 36106 is the 2.5 or the 38105 is the 2.25. HELP

If you have a 2.5" cat back system go with the 2.5" cat. From the factory the cat should bolt in on both sides as well. It wouldn't hurt anything for it to be welded into the cat back though.

ok thats kool but will a 2.5'' cat bolt onto the stock down pipe of the 7mge exhaust.

The MagnaFlow part numbers you listed do not come with flanges. The exhaust shop would have to weld it in or weld a flange on to fit your car.
