My Dark Red 88 t has been out in the sun for about a year and has a dull finish mainly on the top and rear of the car. What is the best way to get it looking shiny again?

Go to an auto parts place, buy a buffing pad and some rubbing compound and wa la! then make sure you put some nice wax on it.

Look at mine.. it was sunburnt like hell when i got it. Now it shines, but i crashed it so it shines from the side and back only.

There is about three types of compund you can use.. just use the normal one or light.

Would polishing compound be better?

You will want to wash it really good first. Then find the finest polishing compound you can. You don't need to cut the finish, just buff it. Take your time and it should look awesome.
