So Im having someone in Sarasota finish up my TT swap and I wanna see if his numbers match up. Let me know what the estimate and or going rate for this stuff would be. Engine/ transmisssion is already in.

Remove old Diff/ install TT Diff+axles

Install Driveshaft

run USDM tt harness through firewall + splice into fusebox and merge knock sensors, resistor etc.

6 bolts in torque converter need to put in (can be put in through tranny fluid pan)

Oil line near passenger side motor mount needs to be replaced

All AC/ P/S, Fuel, oil, tranny lines connected

Mount up greddy FMIC

bolt in intake manifold

mount downpipe + exhaust

install Greddy Profec

Thats it. I have all parts... If someone can help to make sure his price matches up it would help out alot. THANKS!:gapteeth:

lots of factors there, are they experienced with the chassis or not? If not, I hope their labor rate is lower as you will be paying for their learning curve.

I worked out a flat rate. The have mostly done alot of Honda swaps. But what got me is they put a TSX motor in a civic and showed me pics. The wiring work was amazing. I provided them with print outs from the forum here, wiring diagrams, tech manuals, even the greddy instruction manuals to make stuff easier

Yea its pretty hard to estimate without seeing what exactly needs to be done. But from the brief description looks like about 20 hours worth of work at $70 a hour.

The hardest part to estimate is the wiring as I havent seen what your starting with.

the wiring is the biggest what if. I dont understand what needs to be done to the harness if its a usdm tt harness. If its a merge harness, ill go ahead and tell you from looking at one being done that in itself is a major job in itself.

Its a JDM motor and its going into an n/a car....so the only wiring that needs to be done is the connector for the n/a fuse box needs to be taken off the n/a harness and put on the USDM TT harness and the same with the knock sensors plugs, alternator plug. Then the main harness fed through the firewall to be plugged into the ECU. Everything else is already plugged in.

its really just changing over a couple connectors...not bad since I have a new USDM TT harness and new USDM N/A Harness..but everything needs to be grounded still and then theres always little quirks here and there.
I actually thought the lines were going to be the most labor but thats good to know!
