Hi all
just wondering is anyoen knows
whats a better clutch material? feramic or carbon metalic?
Manufacturer websites don't really give any good info
what are the advatages/disadevatnages of each?

btw: I'm looking for a clutch thats a good street/strip combination
not all out race....

I'm debating between the SPec 3+ (carbon metalic)
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pri.../SPEC/Clutch/Clutch_Kits/part/Import_Stage_3+

and the DXD (South Bend Cluthes) Stage 4 FE series

btw: this is on NA-T with the w58 trans
thanks

I have spec sgt3+ in my car.. its a very nice clutch to drive, grips pretty good, seems to take heat ok.. Probably not as good as the feramic on taking heat though.. soo.. I'd say if your into drag racing a lot... fermic, but if just a street car with a few track visits I'd go the spec..

thanks Tissimo

oddly tough, the Southbend one hold less torque, 390 vs the 465 lb tq for the Spec
but the design that holds in the springs is better
as it wraps around the spring more, as oppsed the the Spec
under hard launch, springs can fail by popping out of their holder
this that's happed to someone st SF (or over at clublexus, forgot which) with the Spec clutch too.....
