anyone know the specifics, if it makes a difference, the ecu is obd1 auto, and the harness i found is a 95 6 speed . anyone with knowledge about this, please let me know, thanks alot!

Your 6spd harness wont shift your automatic tranmission. But it works the other way around. Better find a 93-96 auto harness.
You can also run an auto ecu in a 6spd car without a problem.

thanks for the reply max!!!

let me give you some more details, so you can see if it will work for me. i have a gte motor, and it isn't going into a supra. if i use the auto ecu as a sort of stand alone, for motor functions only, with the 6 speed wiring harness, on the gte motor with a v160 trans, i shouldn't have any problems, correct? all i plan to use the supra ecu for, is to monitor and control engine functions (eg: timing, fuel etc)
also, do i have to do any pin switching on the harness, or are all the pins the same, with just a few extra for the supra ecu?

You wont have problem, it's plug and plag all the way. I used an auto g-force ecu in my ex 6spd car while my ecu was in the mail. thanx Larry, what a nice guy!

awesome, thanks alot!

many auto ecus will slightly retard the timing when it shifts gears-don't know for sure if this is the case with the supra ecu or not.
You are right supra auto ecu does retard timing during shifts when the trac fuse is in place. Pull the fuse and timing retard is gone. Since turbosupra is swaping the 2j into something else besides a supra he will probably do away with that silly traction control device altogether.

i'm hoping to keep the stock traction control system, and use the stock t/b on the gte intake manifold, we'll see though???
