Zoomed out:

I have a serious cooling leak and suspect this area as my radiator hoses are fine. The heater hoses look good too. Those two little metal things however had some coolant in/on their tips. I'll fill the rad up tomorrow, run the car and and try to find the leak but until then I'd really like to know what these metal things are.

The service manual shows some lines running to the stock twins, originating from this area, so maybe that's them?

Check the clamps on the hoses behind the head - it's pretty common for them to work loose and start leaking.
