Anybody know where I can find a 1.2mm stopper type HKS mhg? I've searched the websites of the usual suspects and can only find the 1.2mm bead. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought HKS offered both bead and stopper HGs for every thickness. Thanks in advance.

Stoppers are 1.0 and 2.0. Maybe 3.0, but that's super rare. Why do you think that you need stopper vs bead? (98% of the guys use bead)

They are so rare because they don't exist

Like Jeff said, there are only 1.0mm, 2.0mm, and 3.0mm stoppers. I always keep the 1.2mm bead in stock as that is the most common needed. The 2.0 bead I also have and I also happen to have the rare 3.0 stopper too. What makes you think you need a stopper anyway?

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what's the difference between a stopper and bead MHG?

Not much difference at all. I have not held them side-by-side, but everytime someone shows pics lined up, my eye doesn't see it.

Reg sells a 1.5 stopper. He claims to buy a few 2mm gaskets and juggle the layers around. I bought one and ran it back when that was the size I needed. Held up great, don't know if I believe his story though. Wish I took some picks of that gasket before I used it.
