I looked for a few months and the best price I could find was $800 from MAXX for the conversion parts. Then a local parts car popped up for $450 and I grabbed it up. It appears as though this car will pay for itself in parts, so I'm doing the swap for free. Only problem was convincing my buddy's dad to let me store it in his backyard ;)

It is odd how things work though, 1 week after I got my parts car, another 87t 5spd with bad motor pops up locally for $500...

I got some of my 5spd swap stuff from people here on SF, but the rest I got at junkyards, often times I see cars that have all the hard to acquire stuff like the hard lines, pedals, and the driveshaft.....Alot of MKIIIs seem to have found their final resting spots here in the Dallas area

Hey therm, is it true the cressida wagons had a 5spd option?

Now that would be the ultimate sleeper
hmm, i suppose they did have the option. I cringe when I hear of cressidas being the ultimate sleeper, however. :)
