Pretty important to have a good ground in a few places.

Head.
Block.
Transmission.

I've also added a ground to the alternator mounting bolt, as that's where the power is coming from, and I don't want to create a loop through the engine if you know what I mean.

When the power grounds out, and uses the coolant to do it, your softer metals start to come apart. (Ever see what this can do to your coolant passeges in the head? It can ruin a nice engine in a few months if the engine has no other grounds.)
