Just got my strut tower bar and I couldn't figure out where to put the black box that is on top of the driver side strut? Anyone know, damn thing doesn't have instructions! Thanks!

This is where I relocated it. Do you have the Cusco unit?

The install pics for the Cusco front/rear strut brace is at mkiv.com

Actually yeah I did. Near the intake manifold, there are those black bracket type things that the bar goes over. Well it rests on top of that bracket. I took the bar off the other day, as it came with the car, and noticed that the bracket dug into the bar itself and little metal divits are made into the bar.

Do you have any other pics?? I'm relocating mine as well and from the looks of your, that's where i'd like to put mine. Only problem is that I dont think I can stretch mine that far to put it up against the sidewall

Your hood closed though I take it. I couldn't even close mine. Clearance wasn't the issue on the engine, it just didn't allow me to close the hood. IT SUCKED. Who did you buy yours through?
Sorry Hua I just really read your post. THE BAR CAME WITH THE CAR stupid me!!!
Plug it in!

I moved it to the rear half of the driver's side strut tower, there was an open bolt hold that fit perfectly with the stock bolt. Cable was a perfect length for a tight fight. Gotta love Toyota. There was also an open bracket (with nothing attached, and one small screw hole that fit the supplied bolt) where I mounted my boost sensor.

Just remember to reconnect the unit after working with the bar or else the car won't start. I've scared myself a couple times doing this since I had to remove the bar to get to the coil packs, spark plugs, etc. :)
