Trying to get the car to start after having the head off. On the stock crank pulley which one of the white marks is TDC as the pulley is turning clockwise? The first or second? FSM doesn't say. Thanks.

line up your cam gear timing marks and see which mark on the crank pulley lines up with the mark on the plastic cover. Or pull your number 1 spark plug and stick a long screwdriver covered with tape on the end into the cylinder, then rotate the engine until the pison pushes the screwdriver to it's highest point, that will be TDC. Either way will tell you which mark is TDC.

When u turn the crank clockwise, the first mark is yellow the second mark is white, its probably dirty of faded and u cannot see the difference in color, but the white (second mark) is tdc.

Thanks guys. I set it on the first mark so that's why the engine won't start:doh:
