I was changing the dash panel lights and noticed that the actual A/C lights have a little yellow in them.

Have anyone done this mod and have the yellow effecting the light output?

I am putting in white LED's.

Need a quick response.

Thanks,
Brian.

In order for the white light to shine through, your buttons must be fairly new, meaning no yellow discoloration. Otherwise the dirt/grease that has accumulated will cause the white light to appear yellow. If your A/C unit is old, you can order new buttons through Curt Aigner for $60 for the set.

found this.

New question:
The speed and tach whats the procedure like for changing them to leds.

The short and the long of it is yes it is a pain in the butt however persistance pays off.... I have changed my dash to white led....

purchased replacement bulbs for the tach speedo etc...
and soldered and replaced the a/c controls with white backlighting and blue actual switch lights... and blue clock/odo i think it looks great the a/c is a little yellow but it aint too bad :)

good luck with it...
