i've been using 2.3 from the start. 2.2 vs 2.3 is just software changes - basically the way you SEE the data... it has nothing to do with how the data affects the car. that's why you write the data to the ecu.

thanks guys,

did you guys intall and tune yourselves, or get it done by a shop? I've read a few posts were people seemd to be plauged by tuning demons.....
or were these guys just inexperienced?

I'd say 8 times out of 10 they were due to installation error and bad tunes. I've been using map-ecu on my car for several thousand miles now...I did bitch a lot about it publically, but always before learning how to use it correctly. it works for me..but now i want timing control heheh so i'm leaning towards AEM.

another thing,
I noticed a few people running the MAP are getting air measurements form the MAF

if the MAP ECU supports mass air pressure, why don't they use that, it's so much more reliable then the V8 MAF
and that will allow venting of the BOV externally
