I can't remember if was just a turbo tach or the 1jz tach, but I was just wondering why people are saying you have to get a different tach. Is there something that's different about it besides the oil warning light and the higher redline? I have a 86.5 N/A and it seems to me looking at wiring diagrams that if you connect the igniter wire from the 1jz harness to the 7m tach wire it should work the same.

the only difference is that the red line starts at a higher rpm, and it reads up to 9000. its a big waste of time, it might be off 1-200 rpm's. nothing to waste your time to make it work for your car.
