I just noticed that the lights in the rings around the door locks (on the outside)and around the ignition never turn off. I only noticed because the light bulb is burned out on that side of the garage. I checked all the doors and the hatch and nothing is open. The door indicator on the dash and the dome light are both off, but these rings stay lit. Maybe that is why if I don't drive the car for 2 weeks, the battery is nearly dead.

So my questions are:

1. Do these lights turn off on everyone else's car?

2. Anyone else had this problem of these lights staying on?

Thanks in advance.

Yo man my rings are only on after i lock it i think, then they turn off, they have never been on all the time, as ScrewDriver said, any aftermarket electronics or anything in the car? Has it been doing it the whole time you owned it?

Mine light up as soon as I just barely pull on the door handle so when you walk up to your car in the dark, you can see the keyhole. I'm goinig blank on it now, but doesn't the inside light turn on at the same time? I think it does ...I'll check tonight.

But they should not be on all the time, that's for sure.

It does have an aftermarket alarm and a greddy turbo timer (stock headunit - turned it on once...) These parts have been on the car for almost 5 years - but I can't say for sure whether or not it has always been like this. The lights are so small, I never really noticed them on before.

I will try a few things (turning the turbo timer off instead of letting it count down, arming versus not arming the alarm..)

Thanks for the suggestions.
