Porsche’s 2009 911 GT2 is a monster, but for those of you who think 530-hp isn’t enough, Wimmer Renssporttechnik introduced a modified 911 GT2 with 680 hp - €29,800 ($40,600)

The stock Porsche 911 GT2 comes with a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six producing 530 hp and 505 lb-ft of torque. All this power helps the stock GT2 go from 0-to-62 mph in 3.7 seconds.

The German-based tuner modifies the twin-turbo 3.6-liter boxer engine by adding new engine management software, redesigned cylinder heads, high performance camshafts, and a custom exhaust. Thanks to all these enhancements, the Wimmer 911 GT2 boasts 680 hp and 870 Nm of torque. As you can imagine the car features stellar performance figures including a 0-100 km/h time of 3.4 seconds, a 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) time of 25.8 seconds, and a top speed of 356 km/h (221 mph).

Wimmer's 911 GT2 also features a modest body kit which includes a carbon fiber rear lip spoiler, carbon fiber mirror housings, 20-inch Sportec wheels, and a lowered suspension.

Engine output at its best: Wimmer Rennsporttechnik Solingen traditionally turns cars into faster and hotter models than they already are in series. At the moment they target the new Porsche 997 GT2 Biturbo. Thorsten Wimmer shows the ropes with a 680 hp Porsche 997 GT2 Evo - delivered with 530 hp. The new competitive athlete from Wimmer RS is hot, tenacious and has a super cool visual appearance.

The sportive Porsche GT2 from Wimmer RS wants to get on the race track. It feels at home in tricky chicanes as well as on the streets. Full 680 hp and -remarkable 870 Nm are achieved by the following conversions:

* a bi-turbo engine
* an improvement of the engine management in combination with two optimized Wimmer turbochargers
* a custom-built Wimmer sport exhaust system with two 100 Zeller sport catalysts
* a development of the cylinder head
* sport camshafts
* a sport clutch

The all-inclusive-price rather complete engine conversion prices at 29.800,00 Euro, fitting and left-lane-guarantee included.

According to Wimmer the acceleration to the speed of 100 is 3.4 sec. 200 km/h is reached in only 9.78 sec., and 300 km/h reaches the hp-monster in spectacular 25,8 sec. Concerning maximum speed there are hanging 356 km/h in the air - depending on conversion and clearance of the tires!

DTM-approved race technique appoints the genes of the Dunlop tire, which therewith opened a new product segment: the MaxxPerformance-tires. The Sport-Maxx GT - in 235/30-20 and 325/25-20, fitted on beautiful Sportec-rims, makes sure of an excellent stability of the maximum speed. Even in areas far over 300 km/h.

The optical appearance is spiced up by exterior mirrors and rear spoiler lip made of carbon. Upon request of the customer all parts can be made of carbon. The chassis has been improved by H&R- components, to cope with the increased driving performances.

The beautiful, handmade, and back pressure optimized sport exhaust system from Wimmer RS lets the whole power, hid under the hood, sound in a wonderful tone.

Wimmer RS has unveiled their bi-turbo Porsche 911 GT2 Speed.

Based on the standard 997 GT2, the Speed features two Wimmer turbochargers and revisions to the engine block, pistons, connecting rods, injector nozzles, sports camshafts, inlet system, and throttle valve. Wimmer also installs an intercooler, replaces the engine software, and adds a specially tuned performance exhaust system.

Thanks to these modifications, the engine produces a staggering 827 horsepower and 948 Nm of torque. The GT2 Speed accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, 0-300 km/h (0-186.4 mph) in 20.2 seconds, and hit a top speed of 378 km/h (234.9 mph). This is quite comparable to Sportec's own hyper 911 known as the SPR1 M with 858hp.

Other goodies include a carbon fiber rear lip spoiler, carbon fiber rear-view mirrors, H&R sport springs, and Sportec wheels outfitted with Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires. Speaking of Sportec, the Wimmer GT2 Speed is

Not long ago a team of experts of Thorsten Wimmer created a very successful tuning package for Porsche GT2, and there comes its hyper-successful update. The Wimmer RS car tuner from Solingen calls his latest power package "GT2 Speed", and this is a real tribute to its name - "Speed". Certainly, its performance data speaks for itself: 827 hp at 7,400 rpm and 948 Nm of torque. You shouldn't forget about the power-to-weight-ratio of 1.84 Kg/hp and v-max of 378 km/h depending on translation. Jesus, what else do you want!?

There's no doubt: one who has ever had an opportunity to drive Porsche GT2 will hardly complain about the lack of engine performance while driving this car or after that. After all, Porsche GT2 will be produced serially with the high powered engine, that without any efforts makes the car disappear in seconds turning into blue mist. Even the thought of the total power of 827 hp will make the mouths of hp-freaks water.

The Wimmer GT2 Speed Bi-Turbo Power Package includes very sophisticated engine retrofitting. Besides the modifications of the engine block, pistons, piston rods, injection nozzles, sports camshafts, inlet system, throttle valve and the installation of an intercooler, Wimmer uses absolutely new engine software. Nevertheless, the centerpiece of the engine retrofit is the two high performance Wimmer turbochargers blowing a heavy load of air into the combustion chambers. The specially produced Wimmer Sport Exhaust System in complex with the welded exhaust manifold and two exhaust systems provide for furious roaring and whooshing - GT2 Speed replies to every push of the gas pedal by an incredible boost!

The Wimmer RS indicates the acceleration of GT2 Speed Bi-Turbo as 3.38 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. Within 8.54 seconds Wimmer RS hyper-Porsche more than doubles this speed. Thanks to giant engine power, the speed of 300 km/h is reached within 20.2 seconds. Concerning the top speed - the "watches" show 378 km/h - depending on the chosen translation and tyres' performance!

The appearence of the Porsche GT2 has been optimized by Wimmer RS with Carbon exterior rear-view mirrors and a Carbon rear spoiler lip.

After great engineering works, the vehicle is not only ready for serial production but also complies with Euro-4 Standard. The one who lets the beast out of the pit lane has a clear performance lead. The price for the new car, including retrofitting, is about 281,000.00 Euros!
