I hear all this talk about the benefit of removing as much weight of our cars, so im wondering if these tires may be a bit to big or heavy for a na supra.

I have 18" x 9" MOMOs with 245/40/18 Falken 512s in the front and they rubbed through the wheel well. I had to take my dremel and cut out on the right side but the left still has a little gap wierd. I

hmm i have the same size and mine dont rub at all. wierd

I have 18" x 9" MOMOs with 245/40/18 Falken 512s in the front and they rubbed through

I also had the same problem with them rubbing but all I did was put some rubber bushings between the springs without having to do any major modifications to the fenders. They dont rub at all now, even when hitting a dip at a farely high speed.
