WTB: any cheap MK3 upgrades

Most guys will go the lexus afm + 550cc injector route to get 400hp. Idk if that will pass smog though. Anyone else here know?

i also have a 90 mk3 same as yours, let it be know that 400hp is not easy to accomplish on a spare parts budget. if you only go lexus afm and injectors the car is not going to run properly youre going to need a way to tell the engine how to handle such modifications via piggyback or standalone (not your choice if your budget is low) id suggest first you change your intake and exhaust as those are pretty simple and straightforward processes. here is a pretty good roadmap for your upgrades but before you wish to get it to that power level please for the love of god replace your head studs with the arp ones and remember to always check your torque specs

is the best way to source a lexus afm housing just getting lucky at a junkyard? I only see one on ebay for $100 and that seems steep

100 is pretty reasonable if it's complete

Yeah housing + AFM. I think I might still have mine. If I do I'll send it to you for free if you pay for shipping.
