I've got an '89 mgte that came out of my 1-owner Supra. Maita Toyota of Sacramento put a brand new short block in it about 60,000 miles ago. At that time, we sent the head out to Gerolamy of Citrus Heights for a valve job and head resurface. We also shipped the turbo to Majestic Turbo of Waco, TX for a complete rebuild. The car was running perfectly when it was wrecked less than two years ago. I pulled the engine and it has been setting in my garage since the accident.
My daily driver is a '91 mgte, so it's always nice to have a spare handy!
The only things that it would need are a new fan blade, a power steering reservoir cap, and an engine wiring harness (my helper got a little impatient when disconnecting the wiring).
My "fun car" is a '97 TT BPU 6-speed, so I really don't need to hang on to the engine forever.
