Well im deciding to go with the budget turbo, because i dont have much money and boost is boost. haha
so Im going with the xs kit --->http://www.suprastore.com/tosutucokit1.html
it seems like a great idea.
so i thought i would ask the rest of supraforums what the necessities are when installing this kit, i dont mind having a mild 320 whp set-up on my 1993 n/a 5 spd.
do i NEED a wideband/ upgraded head gasket/ fuel pump?
is the kit really as "bolt on" as the advertisement says?
will the car run like crap without a good tune?

any help possible is appreciated
thanks guys!

Yes you definitely need a wideband to tune it. You can reach your goals with a stock head gasket and fuel pump. However do not dare run any more whp than that unless you run meth injection or higher octane.

It's mostly bolt on except for the dump tube. Your distributor will get in the way so you need a 4runner distributor cap.

No it won't but it is best to get a good tune. There are plenty of base maps.

I suggest you go on clubna-t.com

I also suggest you don't get the kit from suprastore. Get it from someone else.

id be skeptical bout getting this kit. Idk I dont have any personal experience with it but I do know you usually get what you pay for. Id say go with the DaveH kit if you want to save money. His kit is legit and quality stuff. You can get your car running for like 3600 on stock fuel. that sjust my opinion though.

GL with the kit, let us know how it turns out. just be careful.

Hi

Well, you don`t need a wideband... Tuners got this, which they attach to your exhaust pipe, and there is no problem tuning your car..

Hi there, ive got a question to the OP. What is the A/R of both your front and rear housings please? Im just curious as your turbo is different to mine in appearance.

Goodluck with your install, I hope it goes smoother than mine has so far.

Looking forward to seeing pics of it finished :)

Best bang for the buck IMO. :)

I suggest you go to clubna-t.com and buy it from Mark directly.
