I'm in the market for buying new rear tires and I was wondering what brand you guys think is a good brand. I currently have Michelin but was thinking maybe switching to Hankook. So the question is, what are your favorite tire brand, and what do you use them for, like track, DD, drag, etc? Also how much do a set of rears run for that brand and style?

Thanks, SC FAMILY

Nitto

Using the NT05s on the street, great tire that I've also spent quite a bit of time with on the track and they work great. For track duties I now run the Nitto NT01 and they have a ton of grip, don't fall off to early, and seem to keep getting better with every session.

Nitto and Toyo are now made by the same company. For street I'm also using the Nitto NT05. For track I'm using the Toyo R888; last few years I used the Toyo RA-1 which I also liked a lot...durable and doesn't heat cycle as fast as some R compounds.

Before the Nitto NT05's I have now, I had a set of the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 StarSpec's all around and I thought that is one of the best street tires I've ever owned.

Another satisfied Kumho Ecsta XS customer in 285/40/17 great tire after you put some heat.

But my next tires will be the Toyo R888 as I hear so many great comments and positive reviews as far as how well they hook up.

Ive had toyo proxes and they worked very well. Have cheapies on now but prbly gonna switch to Nittos soon since ive heard theyre a great tire and some at a cheaper cost. All around though ive heard the MT ET Streets are amazing. If i had the cash I would go with those.

I've heard great feedback from the vrosentein tires but DO NOT drive when raining. Tires suck in the rain.

I don't have as much power as most of you guys, but for me (450whp-500whp) I have Hankook Ventus V12's and hook on second gear and a lot of 1st (prob not making as much boost in 1st or 2nd gear though). 285-35-18
