The factory wheels do look great. I am sporting a set now. 235/45/17 Kumhos up front and 275/40/17 out back. Eventually I am going to have the front wheels widened from 8 to 11.5 and move them out back with a 315/35/17 and move the rear wheels to the front. They will fit perfectly flush once that is done with the correct adapter out back.

@Will84 how much did you widen the wheels by.. Im assuming that the rears (17X9.5) are on the front and you widened the fronts wheels for the rear

Yes, fronts moved to back... widened from 8 to 11.5. Cost was around $200 per wheel. Adapters were $167 shipped. Widening two wheels 3.5", adapters + lugs, packaging + shipping there and back... you're looking at right around $700.

My widening was done here: www.weldcraftwheels.com
My adapters came from here: www.wheeladapter.com

No problems at all. Perfect fitment. Wheels balanced out with very little metal.

The best thing to do is widen the front Supras from 8 inches to 11.5 inches and place them in the rear. You'll need a 1.75 inch hubcentric adapter. Then move the factory rear wheels (9.5 inches wide) to the front. You can run a 275/40/17 up front. This gives you a very, very nice foot print and at a very low cost.

ohh snap :)

I must note to people looking to do this, I was very happy and content with stock wheels. I would of liked to have the guys who replicate ZO6/BMW/Mercedes wheels, CAD the OE Supra wheels and make them in 18x12 & 18x10. Im sure if 10 or so people went in on it, cost would be absorbed, the wheel would have the rite offset and no spacers would be needed. My old car looked more aggressive when i was running -2 degrees of camber, but Hooked up wayyy better +1 camber. Weldcraft in Michigan can widen them and I used a place in California to chrome them.

BTW: I have 2 Stock Rear wheels in my shed that would be perfect canidates to have widened... PM and offer if anyone needs them
