What rpm does your T70 Master Power start spooling/hit full boost?
I tried searching, but the search engine skips anything less then 3 characters "t70" :(

Right now I'm thinking of stepping up to one of these from the Te04 t4
or should I consider a 60-1 dual bb unit (but cost like $500 more)

My xspower t61 does not spool that fast. I have never ridden/driven a tt supra, but comparing to my friend's tt 300zx, there is huge lag with my t61. If the tt supra and tt 300zx are comparable in spool, then I would say you were misinformed about the xspower t61 spooling like stock twins.

I have not had any problems with my turbo yet though. I've had it on for 4 months now, and I will let everybody know if I ever have a problem with it.

Well my XSPower T70, I measured and it compares almost exactly to the Master Power T70. With my TT headgasket, it spools very nicely, I am sure its because I have a .68AR exhaust housing. My spool starts shortly after 2k rpm and shortly after 3k rpm I am at my full boost of 9-10psi.
I think the 4" inkate and 3.5" downpipe help as well.
Just my 2 cents.

We put together 2 NA-T's using MP T70's the automatic made 341whp @ 6psi and the 5speed made 544whp@25psi. Full boost before 4000 rpm. I had the XSPower T61, AKA a T70 on Ebay on my SC300 auto. The turbo had .84AR T4 hot side compared to the .68AR of the MPT70. Spooling was a tad slower than the MPT70's

XST61 OR T70 whatever you like to call it,

My setup
master power T70
Stainless steel turbo manifold
Tail 46 mm 5.8 psi spring (green) with 2" dump pipe
3" down pipe
tanabe racing medalion exhaust
4 inch intake (turbo inlet)
intercooler 24x12x4 bar and plate
stock maf (hot wire type) is on the pressure side
walbro high pressure pump
stock head gasket
boost gauge
spark plugs denso iridium heat range 24

I went dyno:
first pass was 341 rwhp at 5.8 to 6 psi (boost controller was on but not set).
Second pass was 335 rwhp at 5.8 to 6 psi ( boost controller complete off). A/F was between 13 and 12 at dyno which for me is acceptable at this boost level.

A/F with innovative wideband controller shows avg between 12 and 10.5 on the street.

544WHP @ 25 psi on pump gas. should have made more IMO but was limited by having only one walbro fuel pump. Also need to do the fuel pump ecu mod, ad a fuel pump and upgrade the radiator. ( car would over heat during a 2nd consecutive pull on the dyno )
I hope to make more than 650 on race gas and a more aggressive tune at the projected max boost of 32 psi

my xspower t61 spools at about 3.5k. I think TTs spool close to 2.5k. Huge difference but i rode in cars that didnt spool till about 4k so im not complaining. Does those 1.3 tt head gasket make the turbo spool faster compared to the stock hg?

I thought the T70 turbo was a 60mm turbo no way its 69mm my Greddy T78 is a 66.5mm and its way bigger than the T70 which I compared it to.

Where did the 69mm info come from?

I may have missed this but has anyone measured the XS T61? If so what "name brand" turbo is it closest to?

But most people with the T61 (Xs Power) are making power similar to a Garrett T61, are they that inefficient?

#19 ·
Haha, most people that by a T61 don't have the budget to push more power than what a 61mm can make. That is why they are buying the XSPower brand in the first place.

Personally I purchased one to push to the limits, and the only thing that wasn't name brand on my car was the turbo and the manifold. I was running close to 750rwhp at 28psi on E85 with mine. Too bad the turbine seal on the XSPower turbo's are junk, and many have had problems with them going out quite soon, including myself.

#32 ·
Exactly, along with everyone else who has that turbo. It just doesn't add up.

First, Mark was running it on a GTE, and was with an AEM.... add like 30-50whp for ported head and exhaust he has that 3" he sells as well... So i can easily see about 650whp with cams and ported head at like 27psi... But idk where the 700-750whp comes from, and i bet that turbo starts being defficient at about 29psi or so..

#40 ·
AND? Are you saying you have this turbo? Doesn't mean much if you just post a random graph. Also, you do realize your A/F was approaching the 13's for 1000rpm on that run. Even if your spraying meth thats still getting pretty lean for running the amount of boost you would need to make that power.

Where did you find an .81 housing? I also have the .68 housing and would like to go to something bigger. Is there a housing that is swappable with the "T70" housing or did your's come "factory" with the .81 housing?
