As subject says, I have read a few people posts from a few months back about getting the Greddy TD06 turbo put on, but havent heard anything after that? Any dyno's or 1/4's ?

Im looking at getting one of these, but without any positive/solid feedback im reluctant.

Duane (upgradedsupra) has, but had problems and his #'s arent worth posting.. the turbo itself is very capable of 400+RWHP.

if you want more than 400, its probably best to go with another turbo.. however the 20G will spool a hell of alot faster than most others.

all in all id say its a great turbo, its very well balanced for our cars

You are basing that on the point that the impeller wheel would be much bigger than the turbine wheel and would be out of balance? You are probably right most of the time on a case to case basis, but for the money you really can't beat the bang for the buck.
It all depends on what shops you take it to, to do the balancing and assembley. If you take it to a shop and they do a top notch job, you shouldn't have too much of a problem for a while.

Living in asscrack,Va we have one dyno around close, within 40 miles. It is a Detroit diesel dealership and there dyno is broken more than it works and there are no print outs available, I guess I shouldn't bitch for 60.00 for two runs. One of those was at 12 psi and one was at 16 psi, and I was happy, but as Dr.Jones put it "If you don't have the papers, it isn't worth nothin." I agree 100% with Parad0x they are a great turbo for ours cars, very capable of low to mid 400hp to the ground at 20 to 21 psi.

60-1 62-1 trim are very unreliable turbos, dont expect a CT26 to last very long with that trim
Agreed, I had that upgrade and was good for about 10 kms for me and sold it after getting this new turbo. It was toast after another 4000 k on another car.

19 PSI at the track for a year and it is pretty much worn

MY .02

My numbers on the 20G should be pretty good. I have had fuel issues, then TecII issues, then Tranny now I have the idle motor not closing under boost blah blah blah GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Etcccccc..................

Once this is all fixed I am positve that it will hit the 400PLUS mark

the 20 g great turbo for the street will last you alot longer then modded ct at 60 plus trim you get kill it if you boost alot bend shafts ect

57 trim is the best for the ct 26 for all around fun and power as well longer life

the only bad thing abotu the 20g is the adaptor tat si comes whiht cuppsot be crappy and shit or you can do liek what paradox did and get custum eblo made

main reson he never got his whihtt he kits how gay is that

i most likly will go 57 maybe bit lower but that is all up in the air right now i got ot get new cltuch and fix the hart burn in my bell houseing frist

The quick spool up is their big selling point, I would be intereted in maybe doing a TD07-25G, I think that would be a very nice piece of machinery to put on a 1JZ. I haven't really heard anything about them though, I'm Thailand and have seen them on a few cars, but the numbers are alot lower than I would expect, I don't really know Mitsubishi turbos, but on turbos I am familar with the output is much much lower than would expect from the setups. I have like 3 Thai car mags on my desk and none of the cars are above like 600 horse, which I know is alot, but we're talking built 2JZ-GTEs with HKS 272 cams, stand alone computers, T88-34Ds. From everything I've ever read, that setup should be good for like 1000h horsepower! Maybe its just the quality of available tuning, but still... Anyway they do love the 25Gs overhere, I've seen them on Silvias, WRXs, MR2s and much more, seems like a pretty versitile turbo..

Well the reason why i want this over the say SSport ct26, Is i want the turbo to be reliable, ive heard a few horror stories with ct26 upgrade. I want to run large smoothish boost...meaning i dont want 25psi to come in at 5500rpm :) ...around 3500rpm is good for me.

Ill pay the extra for that and the fact that is bascially a bolt on.

Still seems the turbo is good but no one has taken it far yet and had proof.

Jeff did u guys ever get that internal wastegate/boost creep issue figured out on the SS turbos? I'm thinking about getting one....

Anyhow I have the 60-1 upgraded ct-26. I race the living shit out of my car, more than most u guys i'm sure of it. In the summer I'm either street racing or at the tracks. I also drive 500 miles a week commuting back and forth from home/college. And I've topped out my car, which is a real stressor on the turbo since it has to pump high boost for a sustained period of time. My turbo has been as reliable as anything Toyota would have made. It has 11,000 miles on it so far.

I'd love to race a 20G MKIII. Hope you guys won't be too disappointed with the results ;)

Also anyone know what max boost this turbo kit can handle? I havent been able to find this info.
thats all relative to how cold you're keeping it. id say 25psi is the max for the 20G. ive been running 20psi pretty much everyday for months and the turbo feels like it could definetaly put out more

wow that's only 30 min south of my hometown :)

let me know :D :D :D

i'll probably be running a bigger turbo by then though.... let me know :). I also have a bud that lives in point, his MKIII ran 13.3 @ 111mph also with upgraded ct-26 :)

I'd LOVE to run u. all in good supraholic fashion so we'll know what's more high performance: upgraded ct-26 or 20G
