Anyone use the GReddy Pro Intake on 2JZGTE

I have been looking at different intake manifold options and was curious if anyone had at experience with the GReddy Pro intake manifold with 90mm throttle body and fuel rail?

Saw a used one for a decent price and thought it would be a good option for something still of good quality but not into the $2,200-$3,000 range of most other quality intake manifolds.

Seems to be the same design as the cheaper Chinese versions on eBay.

Never used it but it has been recommended to me by people whose judgment I trust and know of my standard for quality. I opted not to go with it because I did not want to cut up the car (battery tray) given how much MKIV values have increased since the installation of manifolds of this design were quite common.

Yeah I agree if I was doing a Supra build I would probably use an intake requiring no modifications.

I’m doing a swap in a R33 Skyline I picked up as a roller. It’s a GTS so I’m not cornered with the re-sale as I’m already swapping engines anyway.

Seems like SupraStore Kings Royal Chamber intake is another variant of this same style intake manifold. Which looks very similar to the eBay DeepMotor Chinese one that I hear of people having issues with quality, figment, failure and welds.

This is why I am looking at the GReddy one and hoping it is of good quality as you are saying you heard. One would think anything GReddy has there name on would be well built.

Unless you're a die hard jdm branded kind of guy I would pass. I ran the second gen greddy intake for the 2j. Great for its time and I'm sure the pro is better.

I would pass on the Pro given the welding requirements and it being described as cast.

Best intakes for the 2j imo are sleeper design which are RMR clones but better made. RmR intakes flowed over 330cfm which no 2j head port is capable of.

If you go the greddy route then please post pics. It would be cool to see it on a build.

@Small Shot reading my mind again 🙂. My SD manifold going on Eau Rouge 3.0:

Those intake manifolds are museum pieces. One question though, what about all those hoses and sensors connected to the OEM manifold. What happens to those?

IAC+vacuum ports are located under the plenum. Here is my Gen 1 RmR.

Gen 2 RmR had tappered rears. Sleep design like Ken's is what I consider Gen 3 (based of gen 2 but better). Less welding and incorpation of burst plates if you like the bottle.

Ok thanks for the update. How much hp are they running with this intake for reference ? I don’t trust at all the Chinese version. Greddy seems way more quality and from a reputable name in the industry

That’s suck. I was about to buy it when I got a flash. Mine it’s going in a 2JZ GTE swapped mk3 supra. All of the guys running it is in a mk4. Damn it. I can’t know for sure it will clear the brake booster and or anything else. :(
