Stock setup , or modded ?

I run ngk v powers on all my cars

 

which v power is the best one to purchase and are they the copper ones ? i found njk 4664's they going for 2.54 each is that correct or they supposed to be more

 

You are just going to get peoples own opinions here too.

Why not go with what toyota recommends, as they designed it?

 

^ No, the stock plugs at the stock gap will cause the car to miss under elevated boost. NGK 4644's are a step colder, and work very well.

 

But he stated it was stock, hence my recommendation for stock plugs.

Nowhere was elevated boost mentioned etc.

 

If it's stock running stock boost I would also go with the stock plug since Toyota did a lot of testing to confirm long plug life, clean burning, overall good performance.

If you're running higher than stock boost on an otherwise stock setup, go one step colder on the plug and this is where you'll run into opinions about copper vs iridium etc. I think stock plugs were platinum but I forget. Iridiums last me at least a couple years and counting.

if Beyond stock boost go with NGK BKR7EIX Iridiums if you want ever lasting long plugs or what SP recommended me (no problems) is NGK copper 6282 (BCPR7ES) im running 24 psi for racing and 18psi for crusing... no misses at all... also if you're misfiring check your coilpacks. also my gap is at .025 that should be the LOWEST you go with stock twins. if lower than you shoudl check your ignition...

 

Just ordered HKS race plugs M35i to try out one step colder than the NGK BKR6EIX-11P Blue japanese plugs 1.1mm gap I have although they look brand new after 16k km !
