UPDATED PICTURES ON PAGE 5
Well i know a lot of people have been anticipating this build so here it is.

The story goes a little like this. A lot of members here know my car as the blue supra in my signature. When my cwest front/veilside sides/rear, veilside carbon overfenders/advan genII's and viper blue paint wasn't setting my car apart from everyone else, I decided to rebuild a car that would be completely unique and first of the community. The build of this car has taken nearly 3 years from my decision to go this route and it looks to be moving at a pace where an end is finally in sight. I've documented what I could along the way and taken some pictures. From here on, I'll be a lot more detailed into the build up including pictures from weekly visits to the body shop and building of the engine.

The body work was fabricated by Peter Chou (nsxpowered, http://www.downforce.biz/) of Downforce. I had very high expectations going into this project after seeing his previous work on several NSX's and the end product is nothing short of amazing. The fitment and finish quality of this kit is top notch. I've had all genuine JDM parts (ie cwest, veilside, etc) previously and the quality of this work sets the bar above and beyond those companies. The detail and workmanship will be apparent in the following pictures. I would highly recommend this kit to any individuals looking to go this route. I believe the complete kit consists of 29 peices.

The following peices are in carbon fiber
Front bumper
Front lip
Rear bumper
hood
front strakes (x2)
rear strakes (x2)
rear diffuser strakes (x2)
rear diffuser
rear spoiler, endcaps(x2), legs(x2), mounting base(x2)
ram air box

The following peices are in fiberglass
Front fenders (x2)
Side Skirts (x2)
Rear quarter panels (x2)
Front inner fender (x2)
Rear inner fender (x2)

Here're some pictures of the kit

Now following the body work, I've gotten the car ready for paint and kit install. It will be going out to the shop on tomorrow (sept 1st) and is scheduled to take roughly 3 months. My work is being done by Gary Best of Gary Best Kustumz who has a reputation of getting it done and getting it done right. His work is show quality and has done a lot of work for my current team TEAM EMOTION. You are probably firmiliar with the majority of the cars on the team making many magazine features for the past 2 years. I'll be visiting the shop once a week to update this thread with pictures of the progress. As the car sit right now, here's how it looks. CAUTION, the picture may be disturbing to some. The majority of the car has been stripped (a lot of the interior, engine, and exterior parts)

Now for some miscellaneous pictures. Since this car will be a show car, I've enlisted for nothing but the best parts. Every single part that can be polished/carbon fibered will be.

Some other deals

Engine
t78 polished compressor housing
polished valve covers, intake mani, throttle body, battery tie, radiator ties, jet coating manifold, etc
carbon fiber fuse covers, fan shroud, radiator plate, spark plug cover, etc
purple anodized turbo horn, hks cam gears, stb ends, etc

Basically everything inside the engine will have a polished, carbon fiber, hks purple theme

Exterior
19 inch work sr1 three peice wheels...19x10.5 and 19x12.5
carbon fiber hatch
candy purple paint with ghost work
hks coilovers
custom red/clear taillights
custom carbon fiber headlights
etc

interior
bride brix seats
carbon fiber a pillars, dash panels, air bag, arm rest, various other panels
7 inch flip out tv with 3 12's, 2 black chrome caps, tv's in the rear quarter window, etc...

That's basically the short list of stuff. When the car is done, I'll have the full long list. This is jsut basically to give everyone an idea of where I'm going. No corners were cut on the build of this car.

here's the link to my carbon fiber work...
http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=307366

i've recently learned the skill of laying Carbon fiber and I'll be laying almost anything/everything I can get my hands on. This includes the targa top :bigthumb: Obviously, there a lot of stuff I'm not showing at the moment but that'll come as time passes. I'll keep this thread updated and hope you all check back soon.

holy shit, got any pics of that kit on a painted car? I only saw the mockup pics.
I should be the first and only one with the full kit at the moment. I'll most likely be the first one to have it completely painted and installed as well.

We'll see how the kit turned out. Maybe we'll give Peter Chou some business if it looks nice.

you've probably seen some of his work on NSX's...there's one up in flushing i believe....his name is joey and he used to run import expressions. he had the yellow jgtc nsx? his name is JZ on nsxprime.com...you can check out his kit and see peter does nothing but great work. joey recommended peter was a great producer of high end bodykits

That guy did joey's kit? i know joey from flushing back when those guys had a shop before the import xpression shows, ive seen the nsx (before and after the jgtc kit). Whoever did the work, i was very impressed. Glad to see your car is in good hands.

Those are some nice wheels. what does candy purple look like, dark or light? cant wait to see the finished car. keep us posted. btw, which coilovers are those?

casper, whenever you take pics of the finished product, be sure to tag the images with something to identify yourself with. I'm sure folks all over the net will be wanting to claim your hardwork.

Fucking Bui gets to shoot all the hot cars. :)

Looks cool man, but be nice to be able to do a show car and stuff. I know if I had a supra I'd drive the hell out of it :)
yea...tell me about it...i bought the car almost 5 years ago with 47000 miles on it and it sits today with 50,500 miles...i'm looking to buy another six speed and drive the hell out of that one :p

The engine is far from done. the whole thing is going to be blinged out...c/f and polished parts...things i forgot to mention about the engine....compressor housing polished, manifold will be jet coated, polished koyo radiator, polished waterneck, polished aluminum overflow tank, polished radiator brackets, battery tie down, and some other goodies...the engine is going to look awesome when it's done...plus the engine bay is getting the same treatment as the outside...candy finish with 5 layers of clear :)

yea the kit that joey had on his car was from downforce...his kits are a perfect fit...there is absolutely no waves in the finish and they are all rock sturdy...there was another orange nsx on the these forums as well as ebay that was for sale...his car has downforce's kit as well...that car was finished and fitted very very well. btw the coilovers are hyperdamper max II's i believe

i have two intercoolers at the moment b/c i don't know which one i'm going to use...one is the greddy four row and one is the hks type r 3 row...
