Dewladezign "DDP" modular standalone ECU mount for MKIV Supras (fitment questions with MKIV's and SC/Soarers)

I've just ordered a Haltech Nexus S3 standalone ECU and adapter harness for my SC300 and so an ECU mounting solution will be my next small project to solve.

I'm making this thread in hopes some folks here may have experience with this aftermarket standalone ECU mounting system specifically for MKIV's.

The company also makes a significantly cheaper stripped down "Lite" version which is less conveniently featured.

It's designed for MKIV's and I believe they have both RHD and LHD versions available.

First of all... can anyone who has used this system chime in about what they think of it?

And second, as far as SC/Soarer fitment goes... a company rep explained over email that he was aware of two Real Street employees who modified this mount slightly to work in their SC's. I don't mind modifying if the fitment changes aren't that drastic. If anyone happens to have any pointers on that then I'd also be interested to know before I jump in on a purchase.

Third... this is so far the best thought out standalone ECU mounting solution I've found for the MKIV chassis (and maybe SC/Soarer chassis also) but if anyone can suggest a better one I'm interested to learn of alternatives.

Thanks, everyone!

it’s a great piece of metal, Joe put some time into making it very modular. I have it for my MoTeC M150 but being OCD I didn’t like how it’s mounted upside down. You can drill and use riv nuts to mount to your desire.

I bought another base added to Joe’s mount for the MoTeC and it worked out in my favor.

If you don’t care for orientation then swing it, but if you’re just a nut job OCD like me then still get it.

1000% recommend his product.

Maybe I'm cheap but I honestly don't need anything fancy to mount my ecu with. It's hidden under carpet and plastic. Ocd or desire to over complicate is something that offends me.

I took an old bad ecu case and trimmed out the inside then threw my motec in there and bolted it up just like the factory ecu. Done. Depending on the box size this might not be an option.

Thanks guys!! I looked up the Pure Function video featuring the Dewladezign mount (excellent comprehensive review) and Biologist, those pictures from your own car are extremely helpful, thank you!!

The quality of the mount is sold on me even more. I'm not sure if I'd encounter major floorpan contour differences between the SC and MKIV chassis in that area but barring that everything looks pretty similar to me for mounting the plate.

FastTurbo-- I love your solution too! I considered this as I have a bad factory ECU casing that I could gut but I'll have to see how the Nexus S3 would potentially fit in length, width and as to connector port access. It seems like it is also taller than your Motec.
