After trying endlessly for like eternity I realize I need help.

My ? is I am having issues getting the CF Piece to line up flat with the mounting locations where I should place the bolts.

I have looked at the few threads online and still no luck hopefully some one can help me out.

Thanks Again for Looking

Take a picture so we can see how bad it is

I have one of the first of these in my red car. I have never seen anyone with a TiTek unit have trouble with the installation. Sorry for your troubles. Here's a pic of mine circa 2007:

I feel your pain OP. Mine didn't fit for shit. I had to shave the edges on mine so that it would fit, and the holes STILL wouldn't line up for the bolts. There has been NO front end damage either on my car. It is what it is. Hope you get your panel on as easily as possible!

Well its been pretty cold where I live so no picture yet but I promise to take one as soon as it warms up a bit.

As for my car, that I know has never had any front end collision. Well again yesterday I tried the install and could not at all get the Piece to lie flat to screw in the bolts.

So far I really do think that the stud is causing the problem what is the easiest tool to rent or buy to solve this issue as I have never taken a stud out and don't want to mess up anything.

If you wiggle the stud with pliers left n right it will brake off due to heat friction created leaving small hole which is going to be covered anyways:/

sorry for the one year thread revival but i just installed mine and drilled a hole for that little stud that pokes out HOWEVER does anyones High A/C cap touch the bottom plate? my hood holder thingy pops off sometimes due to it not sitting right.

Merry Christmas bump! Just got mine and itching to install it. It does not seem to want to fit properly.

Is this the part you guys are cutting?

When my friend and I installed our CF Cooling Plates, we both did it different ways. He left the stud, but drilled a hole where the stud touches the CF Cooling plate so that he can fully return his car back to 100% stock if he wishes, as once you cut that stud off you can't put bolt on the stock overflow bottle (He is 100% stock minus some engine dress up). I decided to remove it on my car instead for a more cleaner look. If you decide to grind it off, make sure to put thick layers of duct tape around the surrounding area. Yes, that is what you cut off Rightcoast.
