Two weeks ago Precision sent me 4 turbos to test for them. The results were amazing!! They have degined a new high flow turbine wheel in house and have mated it with their 62 and 67 mm CEA compressor wheels. The new setup spooled faster and the new 6766 made ~35 more HP than a 6765 . The best part is that the pricing will remain the same!! I will be posting dyno sheets soon!!

Hebron, IN – September 21, 2011 – PRECISION TURBO AND ENGINE has announced the addition of all new, ultra high-flow CEA (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) turbine wheels to their current product line.

Specifically engineered to produce massive power gains over older turbine wheel designs, usage of Precision’s new CEA wheels typically results in an average increase of 30-45 horsepower over comparably-sized standard designs. Furthermore, spool-up time is improved when using PTE’s CEA turbine wheels to further reduce turbo lag.

Precision’s current 62mm turbine wheels will be replaced by the new 62mm CEA version whereas the current 65mm turbine wheels will be replaced with a newly-developed 66mm CEA wheel. Utilizing an enhanced design, the new ultra high-flow turbine wheels will come standard on all of Precision’s 62mm and 66mm turbochargers that also feature the exclusive CEA compressor wheels, both ball-bearing and journal bearing versions, including the 5862, 6262, 6266 and 6766 units.

Additionally, all current turbine housing offerings will be available with the new CEA turbine wheels.

Similar in concept to PTE’s CEA compressor wheels which are machined from a 2618-aluminum forging for added strength, higher efficiency, faster transient response and maximum performance, Precision’s CEA turbine wheels offer unparalleled performance and the best “bang for your buck”.

The cutting-edge technology found in Precision Turbo and Engine’s CEA turbine wheels and CEA compressor wheels is unlike anything else on the market today. PTE is committed to keeping racers well ahead of the competition by constantly innovating and engineering the most powerful turbos possible.

Do you have any dyno graph overlays for this enhanced power and spool? A graph vs RPM would be the most ideal. Sounds like a good turbo to replace my old school cast 6765..

Same situation Larry.

My 6765 dbb CEA I bought from you guys is still sitting in it's box; it can't hurt to upgrade when I can................more power with no loss in spool

Keep us updated!

Great news! I'll take more power with no penalty in spool all day long :) I'd love a comparison b/t the old single scroll and the new twin!

I'll wait for PTE to come out with the new style wheels for larger compressors though. Looking for something in a GT42 sized housing.

How much faster? Like could going from a 6765 .81 to a 6766 .96 = same spool time?

I honestly can't answer that considering we tested only the .81 A/R housings on all the turbos. My gut feeling would be to say no. The new 66mm turbine wheel does spool a bit faster than the 65mm, but it was the power difference that was really impressive. There was roughly a 40whp difference between the two at the same boost levels.

How much for for the journal bearing 6766?
Same pricing as the 6265 and 6765, respectively. I have the items updated here:

i may have some very interesting results to share here soon.
