one of my clips had broken so I got my new ones and a new handle...how in the hell do you get the bottom of it connected???????? help/....

i had to install the bottom peice first then push on the handle to flatten it. Then attach it to the top clip... it was a major PITA but after many failed tries i was able to acheive victory. The clip cost me 2 bucks.

I replaced mine not too long ago but i cannot remember how i did it. I went down to see if i could take it apart to see but i can't figure out how to get it apart without breaking it haha. Im pretty sure the clip gets mounted to the a pillar and then the handle slides over it then you clip in the top part.

I replaced mine a couple months ago and it was definitely a huge PITA. I first took of the broken clip and replaced it with the new one. If you peel back the rubber piece at the end of the handle, it should expose a metal clip. This clip has a groove that slides over the piece that directly screws into the a pillar. Granted this is a lot easier to explain than it is to actually slide the piece on. Good luck.

+1 Its all about pulling back the rubber piece like Robby said. That is key. I had to replace mine on my old N/A I used to have years ago.

Kinda funny, I asked the same thing 7 years ago - http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87906&highlight=shit+handle

I threw away my info but just call Curt at elmhurst toyota he got them for me and they are cheap..however you will probably need the whole handle...there are metal connectors in it and mine were bent as well as the clip being broken.

Mine is broke at the top. I ASSUMED I needed a new handle, so I ordered one. NOW, I see that I just need to replace the top clip.

So, I have a handle if someone needs it.

My clip and handle were both broken... pretty sure changing the clip required pulling the a-pillar off, and putting the handle on was pretty straightforward. Once you look at the clips and the handle adn see how they slide on it shouldn't be too big a deal. You push the curved handle flat to make it longer and hook on, then pull on it to put the curve back in and snug it up on the clips and it stays.

A solid aluminum handle? Sounds uncomfortable. Not sure what the big deal is with the stock one! Haha... come on guys, this is about the level of difficulty of an oil change. Wait, that one's easy for you, right?

haha mine broke too

I replaced one of the clips and installed the handle without any problem

first you should just slide the handle on the lower clip

and than on another one

it was very easy guys

if you think your handle is kinda too short just push on it in the middle(it will give you couple mm) and try one more time

I'm just too lazy to remove my handle one more time to show you in pics

but if you still have problems I'll do it
