Prop/driveshaft removal!

How do I take teh prop shaft out so I can get the gearbox out? I thought I'd just check before I go pulling it :lol:

I assume the best way to put an engine in is WITH the gear box as hte torque converters really hard to line up.... any input?

Simply unbolt the driveshaft from the differential and the carrier bearing (I think it's called that) that goes to the chassis and it should slide out.

yeah it makes it alot easier to get the tranny on but may make it harder to get the entire tranny and engine in the engine bay. extreme angles are required. your choice. id do it with the trans attached.

You don't need to disconnect the drivershaft from the differential. Just unbolt the carrier bearing, and remove the driveshaft hoop. The front of the driveshaft will slide right out of the tranny...
