This happened to both of my windows on my 97. I don't hear no clicking or anything. Out of no wheres, one of them started working the other day. I checked the fuse and the was fine. Shortly after, the other one worked after repeideltly trying to roll it up. I don't want to roll my windows down since I don't want you get stuck with them down. The control works for the right window on both sides but when it wasn't responding, neither side worked.

was your windows rolling up & down slowly, and struggling? sometimes the rubber runners dry out on older cars. i tried liquid silicone lube(don't quote me on that). it comes in liquid aerosol kinda spray, similar to d40. i sprayed it on my rubber runners on both sides of the windows and they rolled up like new. when they dry out, they have lots of friction and don't roll up as well. Always a great maintenance item to do to a car.

Did you look behind the door panels yet? It's possible water got in there over the years and corroded some contacts which could result in intermittent operation.

I would do that. Get some plastic tools made specifically for this - it will save some interior finishes. I don't think I have had them off on my car, but on other cars you will find a few screws holding plastic plates in the handle or other locations that must come out first. Then it is a matter of carefully prying the panel from the door. When you start prying, you may well break some fasteners, so be prepared to order some replacements!
This is also a good time to check the regulator, motor, wiring, cables, etc.

Right now the right window won't do anything again. I noticed that when I roll up the drivers window when it's up, the headlights dim out a little while nothing happens when I do the same to the passenger side. So something is defiantly wrong with the connection somewhere.

on the drivers door ,that little button when depressed only locks and unlocks the passenger window, what i would do is change the fuse/s , they may look good easy fix if it is the problem
removing the door panels is not a big pain, buy a lo of screws. when the lights dim it means there is a power drain

I just peeked behind the door panel and everything seems fine. The window lock safety switch is not engaged. It's odd that now it will only roll down on the passenger switch and will only roll up on the driver sides. Then, it may not work at all. I literally have no idea what to do now.. It does have an aftermarket radio so maybe they spliced into the wrong wire for power?

It sounds like you have a bad switch. I would check the switches on both doors with a multimeter. A lot of times it's the contacts inside the switch that gets oxidized like Nick stated. If you're daring you can take the switch apart and clean the contacts with some contact cleaner.
