18*11.5 inch wheels, and a 335/30 tire, what offset?

After seeing a bunch of wide tires on Vettes, Vipers, GTR's etc, I have been on this kick to run a 335/30/18 on the rear of my car. After researching a bit, I find that it fits on the stock body, however CCW doesn't release offsets, and in the second set of pictures that I'll post, the tire size isn't listed.

Right now I have a 18x10.5+37 in the rear with a 295/35/18. The car is very very low, you can't get a finger between the tire, and the fender. Now if I convert that offset to a 11.5 inch wheel, I get a 10x11.5+50 which makes the new wheel .3mm tucked compared to the old wheel, so my question basically is if that offset will clear in the inside between the tire/wheel, and my coilovers. I'm posting this because I don't want to spend 4 grand on a set of wheels and tires to find out that they don't fit.......

Thanks

CCW's 18x11.5 with a 335/30 no offset since they are CCW's naturally:
Here are some pics as requested.. I need to take some better ones that really show it off. But anyway here you go.

Second set but I don't know the tire size.

My car is a bit lower then it is in this picture:

Camber has since been put to lance alignment specs, so the rear tires sit flat:

Ughhh I can't believe I didn't notice the bulge in the tire. I don't think it looks too bad but I have to worry about the lack of space.

Drew's car (36chambers) looked great on those but that tire sizing was REALLY tight and it took more than a fender roll and coilovers to get enough clearance for suspension travel IIRC. It sat higher than you'd think because the 335/30's have a taller sidewall and it gives an illusion of it being lower than it is.
I still talk to him every once in awhile, I'll hit him up and see if I can get any more solid info for you.

You got it ... Or 315's is the widest way to go.

I'll just leave this here: PROPER fitting tires designed for PROPER fitting wheel widths. Not just a tire # for show w/o function.

I can tell you those CCW's are a +50. I had the same deal with a 305 but they were a 19's, they would rub the inside if I didn't have my coil-overs on a stiffer setting. My guess to fit that tire you would need a +55, cut the fenders and maybe some massaging of the inner wall a bit......gl

Datruth, I'm not sure what you've got going on different there. I run 315/35/17 on 11.5 wide classics. They sit more flush to the outside of the fender than yours. On the inside i have about .50 (max) between the tire and tein coilover. But, by the numbers your tire is 20mm wider. I'm scratching my head here.

Please post some shots from the rear if you don't mind.

I have no rubbing. These are old pictures I took. I have my stock TT's on currently and plan to purchase some new 335s soon. My old ones wore out.

Datruth, what wheels do you have? Some custom wheels only come in a few offsets so I may be able to figure it out.

Will, what tires do you have? Keep in mind that even though Datruth's wheel isn't as flush, it also isn't as wide despite the tire size, it will take up less room. If you think you can fit a 335 in the rear, I may just order new wheels. I'll call tire rack to verify there return policy if 335's don't fit afterall, and I'll just run 315's.

^ NO

Why are some owners so hung up on a wider tire # that offers nothing else but that. Sigh. Bulge much !?

APPROVED WHEEL WIDTH FOR 335's are 11.5 MINIMUM. Look it up yourself and see why Toyo & Nitto STATE that as a FACT and even more so , a 12" wheel PREFERRED ideally for such a tire. I posted previously that you want a functional setup w/o hamper. 12's need work. You want to stay stock rolled/cut fenders ? Stay 11.5" width & 315 tire Max (w proper supporting offsets) That's plenty enough. I may know something on this topic...

I have a 20x11 +50mm offset, 8" back spacing & 4" front spacing from bump pad to the lip of the rim with 305/25-20's tires (26.08" tall) on the rear and it fits perfect on a 20x11 rim, the only mod i did was shave the fenders, no rolling at all! Actually there's more than a 1" of clearance for the back of my rim to my Tein coilovers. So if your going to run a 335 you'd need to run a +65 mm offset(9" back spacing) on a 18x12" rim and there would need to be some shaving to the fenders! A 335 in my opinion is to fat looking on a 11.5" rim! A wider tire equals a larger/wider contact patch, ask any lambo or viper owner, more contact patch= more traction!

Actually i've had 275/30-20's tires with a 3.25" sidewall height on a 20x10 rim and i've got 305/25-20 tires with a 3" sidewall height on a 20x11 and my 305's grab alot better than 275's which have a 1/4" more sidewall height! and contact patch with proper height does give better traction! The person who made this topic wasn't concerned about height in this topic, the topic was width and a 335/30-18 offers more width and height over the 305/30-18 which equals more traction!

The generally accepted widest tire/wheel combo on a stock bodied supra is 18x10/18x11 (or 11.5) with 285/30 / 315/30 offsets are +51 give or take a mm or 2. Coilovers are required and the inner fender needs to be completely cut away but should fit without rubbing and still be set up like a normal car. Usual tyre for this combo is Toyo R888s as there are not many availabe that match those sizes.
