Should I sell my 94 TT Automatic Supra on Bring a Trailer? What could I probably get? Will the prices go higher or should I sell ASAP at these prices?

I have a RED targa 94 Supra Twin Turbo, Automatic, all original and no accidents with around 55K miles. I never even had the car buffed since I owned it and it was always garaged kept so the paint should still be very thick.

I don't really use the car much at all and had it since the year 2000.

I can't believe the prices on Bring a Trailer, I mean 160K for an automatic?

I know I won't get 160K, but could I actually get over 100K for my car?

My questions are:

1) How much could I possibly get for my car on Bring a Trailer?

2) Will the Supra prices go even higher or has it pretty much topped and I should sell this thing ASAP and run with that kind of money?

3) What what you do if you were sitting with my car? Since it has all original paint, no accidents, low miles, would you really want to drive it or would you just sell the car and run with the money now because prices are just way too high?

Thanks for any information.

yes, but if in a year I can only get 50K, I lost 50K, that is the way I'm looking at it. Will this market stay like this or is it going to collapse?]

The other issue is the more I hold onto it the more miles I put on, the risk of an accident increases. It may not even be worth to drive it at the prices the car can get. I would think collectors don't want a car with a body panel that was repainted, I surely wouldn't.

It looks like you've taken really good care of it. Very clean but my question to you is did you buy it to make money or to enjoy driving it? It sounds like the former so yeah put it up for sale. I get as surprised as you do by the bring a trailer prices these days. Good luck and nice car!

Bring a trailer is not a guarantee you will get the car listed. Will you accept a 60k reserve? Because they might only accept the listing at that type of reserve. Spend 500 dollars on professional photos and video and submit it. You seem to look at it like a dollar amount and not something you're enjoying so I would sell based on that.

I drive my supra as a DD and it get that feeling sometimes whether I’m driving my car value down. But you know what? I drove this car the same way for the last 20 years never expecting value to go up, so why worry now?

If 100k+ is something you need/want right now then go for it. You have a great one and good luck with what you do with it.

Being a 94 red TT auto and non original Supra turbo sticker on the hatch, I’ll give you 40k for it. Seriously though if you have thoughts of making money or worried about accidents and depreciation have some good photos taken and list it like FastTurbo said. Otherwise keep it and enjoy having it.

That is an extremely clean car I bet it'll fetch a decent amount

I study BAT pricing carefully and have bought a few off of there. I think your car would go for around $85k maybe $95k but I doubt 100k. I bought a 98k mile clean LHD Turbo auto alpine silver one for $63k 2-3 months ago and yours is of course nicer and lower mileage so will bring more.

Things people want that drive the pricing up:
-6 spd LHD turbo
-Rare colors like that emerald green for $160k or the anthracite brown 2 cars brought big money this year.
-1997-1998 bumps it up
-stock like yours. One exception single turbo brought great money this year with a documented YouTube video build from Real Street racing.
-low mileage. The lower the better. 55k is good but not extraordinary.
-clean carfax.Any car fax issue is a ding to value
-repaint can be ok but of course clean original is best.

Prices aren’t going down to $50k next year. They aren’t building more MK4 and MK5 made MK4 worth more just like the inferior RX8 and less edgy Acura NSX did for those cars. Keep it unless you want to cash out now.

im at the beach so doing this from memory and if I had my spreadsheet in front of me it would be more accurate but this is pretty close.

Plus we are in a hyper inflation period. My real estate and 14 car car collection is crushing my stock portfolio this year.

The thing is the car also has its risks every time it’s on the road. Nothing can be taken for granted. If you need the money now or want guaranteed money in the bank then sell. If this car has no sentimental value to you. Let it go. All the calculation of higher value is gone the second you lose it to vandalism accident theft.
