What do you mean customized it? Are you talking about the main engine wiring harness? If you are, there isn't much "customizing" that you can do. You can wrap it in a certain color tape or loom to match the theme you are going for, but all the connectors and harnesses are right where they are for a reason, so there isn't much customizing you can do. I just replaced one on a 89 Turbo 5spd and it wasn't that terribly difficult, but as I said, not much room for changing or customizing as you put it.

ah. i didnt specify what i was doing..

see.. I dont need ABS, speed control, cruise control, heater, a/c, washer fluid, and all those crap which I just tape it up and leave it hanging..

this time i want to remove it completely and leave the engine harness ALONE

door, powerlocks, window, wipers, turn signals can be left alone too..

thats all.

the car is completely gutted and that is what caused me to do the harness since it has SO MANY splits, cracks, tears, taped up connectors, wires jointed together by twisting and taping and several splice and shit on it.. I keep getting shorts and troubles with interior wiring .. this is why I pulled it all out.

I'm actually in the process of making my own wiring using just the old connectors of the items that i am keeping. Just to give you an idea of how crazy i'm doing my setup here are some pictures. But don't expect me to do a writeup until i finish the whole process which will take some time. Basically all i'm keeping is the essential items for it to be street legal.
Disclaimer: this is not going to be a daily driver. Just a weekend/raceday car at my local tracks.

that is one clusterfuck of wiring. I suppose it doesn't matter as most of it is not going back in...I have all of mine sitting in well labeled shopping bags....

:agreed:

But the only .2 cents i can put in is just take out what you done need. Just figure out what goes to what.

I hope you don't get this sound (Bzzzzzd) when you connect everything back! :wtf:

try using a painless wiring kit that includes the fusebox and has the wiring, wire it to the connectors...

you'll probably be fine pulling quite a bit out though, in this case the electrical diagrams would really help you find what's isolated and able to be taken out...
